Tutoring Her Rebellious Knight
She’s helping him find his way. But he might be losing his heart.
The Knights rule the school at Carson Valley High, but is their kingdom about to crumble?
As rumors fly about Lynn, the unofficial leader of the Knights, her friends worry about how she’s dealing with it. And while Oliver seemed to finally get the girl of his dreams, Kaylee, now she’s ghosting him, making him question everything.
Tristan wants to be there for his friends but has his own crisis, one he’s determined not to tell them about: The football coach will bench him unless he pulls up his crashing grades in algebra. Even worse, his tutor is none other than his annoying stick-in-the-mud neighbor, Merida. But when their heated words turn into heated glances, he starts to wonder if this tutoring arrangement might add up to more.
Merida, trying to keep her broken family together, doesn’t know if she can trust Tristan with all of her secrets. But when he’s there for her time and again, her heart softens. Can she let herself think about something as frivolous as dating when the people she loves the most depend on her?
Find out what happens next with these arguing enemies in this tutoring romance.

Like a big bowl of ice cream from my hometown dessert parlor, Her Knight in Shining Football Pads was a beautiful blast from the past bringing me right back to some of my favorite parts of high school. Follow that up with some fun and unique POV styling for some whipped cream. Then top it all off with a cherry and sprinkles (the beyond amazing references to some of my all time favorite bands) and you have a beautiful start to a series (and a sundae). I adored how this book was written, it made it so hard to put down and got me way excited for more in the future. With such a big variety in characters and personalities, it's easy to find one you relate (or related) to and get sucked into the world."

Such a creative and unique beginning to what I expect will be a killer series. Kaylee and Oliver will melt your heart. Kaylee bounces to the beat of her own drum and Oliver springs to action on the field grateful for what he has. Two different upbringings. Two different social circles. But it is only through each other and their closest friends that they are able to finally see what's right in front of them. With such amazing characters, you'll want to get lost in their story."

This series is excellently penned, it follows two sets of friends and their dynamics. There’s two girls as alike as night is to day, light to dark. These girls are tough. But there’s this code, of the friendship type. Set their friends up on dates or something. Make their little hearts sing. Because they’re kind. An awesome story about friendship, hardship and looking out for each other. Something to be proud you achieved and never grieved no matter how tough or rough your upbringing is there’s always someone worse off than you and you will always have friends that count on you and you can count on. Well written by
Kaity Norriss."

This book was definitely a slow burn. I was attached to the characters from the first couple of chapters. I would giggle every time they start talking to each other. By the end I honestly just wanted to throw a party because they were together.

I also thought it was cool that we're not just getting the two main characters POVs but also their friends. There are 6 POVs in this book: Kaylee, Oliver, Lynn, Andrew, Daniel, and Grayson. Each character has their own personality and struggles.

I like the way that this book shows that even if you come from a family that doesn't pay attention you'll always have your friends to lean on. It is a great message that I love to see in books.

I definitely recommend listening to the playlist that Kaity made for this book because I kind of knew what they listened to, but this playlist still blew my mind. These characters are connected with their music, and it was so inspiring. Kaylee is in a band and the way that she is so connected with the music when she is on stage makes me just want to go on stage myself and see if I could experience it too.

I recommend you read this book when it comes out because I'm definitely going to be buying it. Along with the other ones when they come out. I'm so happy that I had the honor to be one of the first people to read it.
A sweet romance filled with high school drama with characters that practically leaped off the pages. Her Knight in Shining Football Pads was an amazing read. It was a new twist on the high school romance genre. Kaity took some famous tropes and gave us a new and fresh story. I can’t wait for the next book!"
